Recipes
Malora Vetkoek and Savoury Mince
Vetkoek
Ingredients
1kg Malora Vetkoek Mix
600ml Warm Water
200ml Oil
50g Cake Flour
Method
1. Add yeast (found in packet) to vetkoek powder
2. Add in warm water and mix
3. Allow to proof
4. Roll out to diameter of 3-5cm on floured surface
Savoury Mince
Ingredients
1kg Beef mince
200g Mixed Vegetables
75g Onions
500ml Water
125g Malora Cooking Premix *
15ml Oil
10g Crushed garlic
*( Bolognaise, Savoury Mince, Hearty Hotpot, Cape & Durban Curry)
Method
1. Mix cooking sauce with water and whisk
2. Saute onions and garlic
3. Add in mince and mix vegetables and brown
4. Add in cooking sauce mixture along with chutney
5. Cook on medium heat for 25- 30 minutes or until done
Malora Koeksisters
Vetkoek
Ingredients
1kg Malora Vetkoek Mix
600ml Warm Water
2ml Cinnamon
1ml Nutmeg
1ml Ginger Powder
1ml Clove Powder
200ml Oil
50g Cake Flour
Syrup
400g White Sugar
300ml Water
1gr Star Anise
1gr Cinnamon Stick
250g Desicated Coconut
Method
1. Add yeast (found in packet) and all dry spices to vetkoek powder
2. Add in warm water and mix
3. Allow to proof
4. Plate into desired sizes.
5.Allow to proof
6. Fry until golden
7. Soak in syrup
8.Roll in coconut
